Civil Engineer Ove Trygve Schoyen
The jubilarian was born in Ullensaker, Norway and grew up on the family farm Skjelmerud in Klofta.
He has had a long professional career in leadership positions, with both national and international scope. His last leadership position was as CEO of Asbjørn Habberstad AS, with responsibility for operations in the Nordic countries and abroad.
He later worked as a partner at Ward Howell International with a focus on executive selection, until the conclusion of his professional career. He has also held several board positions, including at Gjensidige and the Norwegian Export Council. Earlier professional experience includes positions in bridge and building construction in the USA and Norway.
Ove holds a degree in civil engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder, where he graduated with honors and was inducted as a member of Tau Beta Pi. He subsequently completed leadership programs at Stanford University, Columbia Graduate School in New York, and IMEDE in Switzerland.
In the military, he was trained as an aircraft mechanic at the Air Force Technical School at Kjevik. Alongside his professional life, he has been active in Rotary.
